 SCIENCE ACROSS THE CURRICULUM

Project Director

Dr. Albert Tricomi

Principal Investigators

Dr. Anna Tan-Wilson
Dr. Wayne Jones

Increasingly, science and technology pervade our lives. Thus, all undergraduate students, not just those who are science majors, must acquire an understanding of the process of scientific discovery and the ability to apply technological developments wisely and effectively. Our university's Science Across the Curriculum (SxC) program is based on the premise that student understanding of scientific concepts and technological innovation is strengthened when built on the academic interests students already have. The strategies being developed also nurture the scientific interests of Binghamton University faculty in all disciplines, enhancing their educational, creative and research efforts, thus ensuring that SxC will continue far into the future.

This project was initially funded by the National Science Foundation. It is now funded through the Provost's Office of Binghamton University.
